Traditionally handmade Berber rug from the Beni Mrirt, Beni Ourain region in the middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The brown lines are made with brown sheep wool and have not been dyed. The opulent and detailed fringes on both ends of the rug give it a very special design. The Berber woman worked here in complete artistic freedom and broke with the straightforwardness oft he traditional lozenge motifs and opened the lines to the side.
